The controller can't run the motor properly: a motor wire, the motor's position sensor (Hall sensor or magnetic encoder) or their connections may have a fault. These run at high voltage, so leave them to a dealer.

1. 1Switch off and restartFree Turn the bike off with its key or power switch, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on. If the code clears, note what you were doing when it appeared, in case it comes back.
2. 2Check nothing is jamming the rear wheelFree With the bike switched off, check that the rear wheel and chain turn freely. Look for a jammed or derailed chain, a stick or rock, or a dragging brake.
3. 3Write down the code and when it happensFree Take a photo of the display and note when the code appears: at switch-on, under hard acceleration, on climbs, in rain or while charging. Your dealer will ask for this.
4. 4Contact an authorized dealerShop job If the code stays after these checks, stop riding and contact an authorized dealer for your brand. The battery, motor, controller and high-voltage wiring are for trained technicians only. Don't open them or unplug high-voltage connectors.
