The battery stopped charging or protected itself because the voltage or current was too high, or charging didn't start properly. The most common cause is a charger that isn't the original one, or a faulty charger.

1. 1Unplug the charger and only use the originalFree If this code showed while charging, unplug the charger. Only ever use the charger that came with the bike: a wrong or faulty charger can damage the battery and is a fire risk.
2. 2Check the outside of the battery (don't open it)Free Look at the battery case only. If it's swollen, cracked, leaking, very hot or smells, don't ride or charge it, move it away from anything flammable if it's safe to, and contact your dealer. If it smokes, get everyone out and call 911.
3. 3Write down the code and when it happensFree Take a photo of the display and note when the code appears: at switch-on, under hard acceleration, on climbs, in rain or while charging. Your dealer will ask for this.
4. 4Contact an authorized dealerShop job If the code stays after these checks, stop riding and contact an authorized dealer for your brand. The battery, motor, controller and high-voltage wiring are for trained technicians only. Don't open them or unplug high-voltage connectors.
