Hiboy's own error codes
These codes come from Hiboy's official sources, listed at the bottom of the page. Hiboy's EX11 manual says riders must be at least 16 years old, and riders under 18 must be supervised by an adult. If your screen shows a code that isn't on this list, your bike may use a different display: find your display .
🔋 Stop and charge your battery Stop and charge your battery. If the code comes back soon after a full charge, have the battery checked by a shop.
Quick answer
Error 0x25 on the Hiboy EX11 means “Under-Voltage Protection.” Most likely cause: the battery is nearly empty, or it's worn and its voltage drops under load. Try this first: fully charge the battery.
Code meanings vary by brand. The same number can mean different things on different displays and controllers. Check your bike's manual to confirm.
About the Hiboy EX11
This list is only for the EX11. Other Hiboy e-bikes (such as the P6 and EX6F) are not covered. source
In plain English
The controller watches the battery voltage. If it drops too low, because the battery is nearly empty, worn out, or not making good contact, the controller cuts motor power to protect the battery. If the code only appears when you accelerate or climb, the voltage is dropping under load, which points to a tired battery or a loose connection.
Step-by-step checklist
Reset
Work from the top. Steps go from free and easy to shop jobs. Switch the bike off before touching any connector. Tick each step as you go. Your progress is saved on this device.

1 Fully charge the battery Free
Plug in the charger and charge until it shows complete (usually a green light), then switch on and test again.
2 Check the battery's own switch or key Free
Many batteries have a key or power button of their own that must be on. Make sure it's fully turned or pressed.
3 Reseat the battery Free
Switch off and slide or lift the battery out of its mount. Wipe any dirt off the metal contacts on the battery and the mount, then put it back until it clicks and locks.
4 Check the display's battery voltage setting Easy
Many displays have a system voltage setting (24V, 36V, 48V or 52V). If it doesn't match the voltage printed on your battery, the display can misread the battery. Your manual shows where it is.
5 Unplug and check the main connectors Easy
Switch off and remove the battery. Find the round waterproof plugs along the cables (usually near the handlebar, down the frame and near the motor). Pull each one apart, look for bent pins, water, green corrosion or melted plastic. Melted or burnt plastic means stop and see a shop. Clean green corrosion with electrical contact cleaner and let it dry fully, then push the plug back together with the arrows lined up.

6 Check the charger Moderate
Make sure the charger's light changes when it's plugged into the battery, and that both plugs are clean and fully seated. If you can, try a known-good charger with the same voltage and plug.
7 Have the battery tested Shop job
A shop can test the battery and its protection circuit and tell you if it needs replacing. Never open the battery pack yourself.
⚠ When to stop and get a shop
Stop and see a shop if the battery is swollen, hot, cracked, smells burnt, or has been dropped or soaked. Don't keep charging a battery that gets hot. Never open, repair or rewire a battery pack. Lithium batteries can catch fire.
Anything inside the battery, the controller, or the thick high-power motor wires is a job for a qualified e-bike shop.
